Encryption Both in Storage and in Transit
Data is encrypted locally before transfer using 256-bit AES encryption. While your data is being transferred, ITBackup uses SSL (Secure Socket Layers) technology to add a second layer of encryption. Your data is doubly encrypted during transmission. At the storage site, your data is 256-bit AES encrypted with a key that you keep or decide who keeps. Without the key, your encrypted backup is unreadable.
Mirrored Data Centers
Data is stored in two secure data centers located thousands of miles apart. Each SAS70 Type II certified facility is secured with biometric controlled access, 24/7 monitoring, backup generators and redundant connections to the Internet. In the event that a disaster that affects one data center, rest assured that your data is still backed up in another mirrored data center location.
